iTamilKids by LilGenius is a universal app that supports iPhone,iPad and iPod touch. It is a Tamil app focussed at introducing the basics of Tamil to Kids. I have taken the Flash cards to next level and made it a little more interesting by including few games for kids.
There is an interactive memory game that aims at sharpening their mental alertness and improving their concentration. Also there is a category that kids can use to practice writing Tamil alphabets.The writing category has features to select their pen in various colors,erase a portion of drawing or refresh the whole screen to start fresh etc. And the flashcards introduces over a 100 tamil words to kids and includes several categories like
· Uyir Ezhuthukkal (12 vowels and 1 Ayutha ezhuthu)
· Mei Ezhuthukkal (18 consonants)
· UyirMei Ezhuthukkal (vowel+consonant - The whole list of 216 uyirmei ezhuthukkal is not shown.Includes only the beginning letter of each category)
· Engal(Numbers)
· Palangal (Fruits)
· Kaygarigal(Vegetables)
· Kaatu Vilangugal(Wild animals)
· Veetu Vilangugal(Domestic animals)
· Nirangal(Colors)

iTamilkidsLite will include uyir eluthukkal,engal,palangal,kaygarigal,Veetu vilangugal .This app can be downloaded for free.But to avail of all the features,you have to upgrade to iTamilKids.
